The permalinks plays important role in our blog post and blog seo. In my blogging experience I don’t research on things like this i just learned it through other savvy blogger. Until now I still considered myself as newbie in blogging. One important thing I have learned from groups of techy bloggers is the permalinks. I had no idea what permalink was until I tried the wordpress platform. So, I change the permalinks to my blogs for better seo. I had to email also those paid to blog post site about it so they will be aware if in case they can’t find the blog post. Well, one paid to blog site don’t accept changes to the permalinks of the submitted post and unfortunately I never got paid with the reviews I wrote for them. I tried to upload plug in that will redirect the old permalinks to the new permalinks but the plug in wasn’t working with my blog.

Nevertheless, just recently I keep receiving an error message from this one paid post site saying that the blog post is not found or error. I compared the two permalinks and wondering how did I get such permalinks when I already set it up before I accepted paid post review. To find solution to my problem I asked a friend of mine if she knows a plug in that will redirect the permalinks and she gave me the name Change Permalink Helper. With the help og google, I search it and found the plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/change-permalink-helper/. Luckily, it works and hopefully they will pay me with that on hold reviews.

The Change Permalink Helper will check the Permalink and redirects to the new URL, if it doesn’t exist. It sends the header message “moved permanently 301″

When you change the permalink structure then this is a problem for bookmarks of users and also for search engines to link to your posts. This plugin uses the slug of the new url and search for a ID in the database of WordPress. If it finds a post according to the slug, the Plugin will redirect to the correct post and send a header message “moved permanently 301″ to change the url on the index of search engines. source:wordpress
