Customized Your YouTube Username

Founded in February 2005, YouTube allows billions of people to discover, watch and share originally-created videos. YouTube provides a forum for people to connect, inform, and inspire others across the globe and acts as a distribution platform for original content creators and advertisers large and small.

Some people are making money with their videos posted on YouTube. Grow your youtube subscriber to get more traffic and viewers to your YouTube videos. Meanwhile, I’ve been figuring out how to customize my Youtube username for easy access and sharing. for a while I’ve been using that default YouTube channel url and then i just recently found out that putting that link to my share button has an error result when I click on it. It won’t directed to my YouTube channel and possibly won’t get a subscribers. So, I searched on google on how customize my url. Before my Youtube channel URL looks like this.

It was very easy to customize the url, just simply follow the direction. This is now my customize url which easy to follow and subscribe. When i click on my youtube button in one of my website it will direct me to the right YouTube channel.

To add a custom URL, use the following steps:

Make sure you’re signed into YouTube, and go to your advanced account settings.
Under Channel Settings, click Create custom URL.
You’ll then be able to choose the URL you want. Note that you can’t choose a URL that someone’s already chosen. Once you’ve chosen your custom URL, it will appear like this:

Once your channel has a custom URL, it can’t be changed. Choose carefully!

Moving and Accepting Domain

There are a lot of domain registrar online to where we can buy our domain and start a website. The top domain registrar is Godaddy, Google/blogger, Name Cheap, 1&1, Answerable. Bluehost and more. I have quiet a few domains that are registered to a different registrar but most of it are in Godaddy. I also transferred a few from 1&1 to Godaddy and namecheap and gave some of it to a friend and to my sister. Move a domain name from one account to another, it’s called an Account Change. Anyhow, if you need help in moving your domain to a different account and needs assistant in accepting domain here’s how.

To Move a Domain Name Out of Your Account

1. Go to you Godaddy account and log in to your Account Manager.
2. Click launch Domain and tick on the domain you want to move
3. Under More, click Begin Account Change.
4. Enter the Email address of the new owner and customer number.
5. Tick/check ‘Use details from specified customer account’
and ‘Keep the current nameservers for these domains’

After completing the following steps, the new owner of the domain will receive an email with instructions to confirm the move. The recipient must confirm the domain name move within 10 days. After that time, the transaction times out and you must reinitiate it.

Accepting a Domain Name into Your Account.

1. Log in to your Account Manager. Or Create an Account if you do not have one yet.
2. From Products, hover over Domains and then select Manage Now. or
If you already own domains and see the Domains bar, click Launch.
3. From the Domains menu, click Pending Account Changes, and then click Incoming Account Changes.
4. Complete one of the following:
A. If the domain name displays in the list — Select the domain name, and then click Accept.
B. If the domain name does not display in the list — Click Accept Emailed Changes, enter the following, click Next, and then proceed through checkout of the free transaction:
C. Transaction ID — The identification code from the email we sent you.
D. Security Code — The security code from the email we sent you.

It may take a few minutes for your domain name to appear in your account. To view the domain, hover over the Domains tab and click All Domains.

Adding Site to Google Analytics and tracking code to Blog

Google Analytics is a service offered by Google that generates detailed statistics about a website’s traffic and traffic sources and measures conversions and sales. Google Analytics can track visitors from all referrers, including search engines and social networks, direct visits and referring sites. It also displays advertising, pay-per-click networks, email marketing and digital collateral such as links within PDF documents. Read info source.

Anyhow, I have already created an accounts in Google Analytics with some of sites listed which was connected to my existing Google account. For some reason, I mistakenly created a different account which later on found out that it already existed in my other Google account. It’s advisable to have one account to avoid confusion. However, I found a way to correct that mistake. I have created a new blog as replacement for the old blog domain which soon to be closed and deleted. What I did is I edited or change the site name and url with the new domain URL.

Go to your Google Analytics account. You can create a new site or change the existed account just like i did. Click the icon or the blue square to go to the site then click ADMIN. You will then see the page with your account, propert and view profile (image above). Click each one of it and start editing and adding new website url.

Once done all the above changes, you can now get the tracking code to be added to your site html. Below are the steps you need to follow to get the tracking code and added to your site. Google Analytics tracking code can be added to your site either manually or with a plugin. Note: You loose your Google Analytics tracking once you change themes or template.

Adding Google Analytics manually

1. Login wordpress admin panel
2. Goto Appearance > Editor (theme editor)
3. Select the footer.php or index.php
4. Find the </body> html tag (click ctrl F to find the </body> tag.
6. Don’t forget to click Update File to save changes.

Where do I find my UI tracking code ?

1. Log in to Google Analytics at
2. From the Overview page, select the account that has the profile for the tracking code you’re looking for, as the code is profile-specific.
3. Select the profile from the accounts Overview page.
4. From that profile’s Actions column, click Edit
5. At the top right of the ‘Main Website Profile Information’ box, click Check Status
6. Your tracking code can be copied and pasted from the text box in the Instructions for adding tracking section

How to move your WordPress blogs over to Blogger

Suppose you have already done changing the name server of your domain name with your new hosting. A name server is a computer server that hosts a network service for providing responses to queries against a directory service. Login to your WordPress account and navigate to the Dashboard for the blog that you’d like to transfer to Blogger. Simply follow the instructions on how to move your WordPress blogs over to Blogger? Export the contents from your wordpress blog, download and save the exported file and convert the saved document then save. That saved file will be the contents of your posts/comments from WordPress which will be move to blogger by transferring in through Blogger export file. Once all this process done and save, go to to create a new blog.  Fill in the title of your new blog and web address (domain name) e.g jnjmilestones and pick a template below.  You can add a custom domain later if you have one.

Blogs under Blogger flatform are hosted by Google at a subdomain of then later on it allows user to publish blogs on other hosts, via FTP. All such blogs had (or still have) to be moved to Google’s own servers, with domains other than allowed via custom URLs.[3] Unlike WordPress, Blogger cannot be installed in a web server. One has to use DNS facilities to redirect a blogspot domain to a custom URL. You can have your blog hosted in Blogger for free.

Go to your newly created blog click setting >> other and then click on the Import Blog Tool. Follow the instructions and upload your Blogger export file when prompted then click publish. After completing the import wizard, you should have a set of imported posts from WordPress that you can now publish to Blogger.
